

Eventually they realized that everything should be downtown, and that’s where we are 40years later. The first year they had several locations where events took place, the pool, frary field, gunn park, and downtown.

She gathered her friends, several yellow legal notepads, and a lot of desire. Her idea came from her growing up on the east coast and attending a street fair. Her spirit, compassion and mission brought the street fair to life. She was one of the original founders of the Fort Scott Good Ol’ Days. This years Grand Marshall is Anne Emerson. Be sure to bring your lawn chair and line up along Main street between 6th street running north to Wall Street, then west to National, then back south to 6th Street. The 40 th Annual Fort Scott Good Ol’ Days Festival kicks off on Friday June 4 with The largest parade in Bourbon County.
